RAIDERS utility Kurt Baptiste has undergone surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles suffered at training on Wednesday.

The club has confirmed that the 25-year-old went in for surgery, although there is no timetable on his possible return as yet.

The news is a huge blow for the player, who recently signed a two-year extension that will see him remain in the nation’s capital until the end of 2018.

Baptiste featured in 24 games for the Green Machine last season forming arguably the best hooking duo in the NRL alongside Englishman Josh Hodgson.
