RISING star Tui Afualo made quite the impression in 2016 and it seems he’s been rewarded for his efforts.

According to Triple M, the Parramatta juniorĀ has signed a three-year deal with the club that will see him remain with the Blue-and-GoldĀ until 2019.

The 17-year-old centre played six games for the Eels NYC side – scoring two tries and making 60 tackles – and also represented the NSW under 18’s in this years State of Origin series.

Blues coach Brad Fittler labelled the youngster a “powerhouse” after his dominant performance helped them wrap up the junior series with a 26-0 shutout of the Maroons at Suncorp Stadium.

The news will come as a welcome boost for fans who have had to endure the turmoil surrounding star winger Semi Radradra.
