PAUL Gallen has warned his next boxing opponent, Ryan Carr, that he had better get the Cronulla captain early or he will finish right over the top of him.

Gallen warmed up for the bout with a unanimous points win over fellow league player, Canberra’s Junior Paulo, last week and will fight Carr at the home ground of the Sharks, Southern Cross Group Stadium, on December 23.

“I’m going to beat him, there’s no doubt about that,” Gallen declared. “And I hope to stop him.

“I think we saw with the Junior fight that the longer the fight goes, the stronger I get.

“The fight with Junior was only three two-minute rounds. This will be three-minute rounds, and six three-minute rounds, which is going to be a whole lot longer, and I think come rounds four, five and six if he doesn’t get me with something early I’m going to be coming home with a wet sail and I want to stop him, yeah.”
