A NUMBER of clubs look set to pay the price for what was a fiery Origin finale with three players charged and another injured.

Rabbitohs captain Greg Inglis has been hit with a grade two shoulder charge for his shot on Josh Dugan. If Inglis takes the early guilty plea he will miss three weeks but if he risks fighting the charge and loses he will miss a month footy.

The point of Inglis’ shoulder caught Dugan after he kicked the ball and the Dragons fullback will go for scans this morning to determine the extent of the damage. Initial fears are he has sustained a broken jaw but the medical staff are hoping it is just a crack.

Meanwhile, Broncos captain Corey Parker has been hit with a grade two dangerous contact charge for his forearm to James Tedesco. With the early guilty plea, the retiring Queenslander will miss this weekend’s crunch clash with the Rabbitohs.

Andrew Fifita is also in hot water for his bizarre head slam on Gavin Cooper. The Sharks prop was charged with a grade one contrary conduct charge which means he will miss Monday’s match against the Roosters at Allianz Stadium.
