THE WARRIORS are set to issue a strict ‘hands off’ warning to rival clubs chasing classy utility back Tuimoala Lolohea.
With Kieran Foran signing with the Warriors, Lolohea wants out and his manager Stan Martin has approached the club for a release.
Lolohea even visited Broncos HQ last week, posting a photo of himself there on social media in a clear indication of his intentions. But the Warriors insist Lolohea has a contract for next season and that the talented 21-year-old isn’t going anywhere.
While Foran and Shaun Johnson have a mortgage on the halfback spots, Lolohea’s ability to play anywhere in the backline makes him a vital man in incoming coach Stephen Kearney’s plans.
If Lolohea digs his heels in, this has the potential to become an ugly stand-off over the next few weeks.
