THE KNIGHTS have continued to mould their 2017 roster after confirming that fullback Jake Mamo would be joining Huddersfield in a player swap for centre Joe Wardle.

Mamo, who struggled for consistency throughout his brief NRL career, will link with former Knights coach Rick Stone on a two-year deal.

“I’m excited by the change as I have only ever lived in Australia. I will give it my all,” Mamo told BBC.

“Hopefully I will play full-back and that’s what I’ve spoken to (Giants coach) Rick Stone about.

“I have known Rick since as I was 18 at Newcastle and I have had a good relationship with him. He has always helped me out a lot and he was one of the reasons when I re-signed at Newcastle initially.”

Wardle, 25, will link up with former mentor Nathan Brown who he played under when Brown was in charge of the Giants. The strike centre is keen to test himself in the best rugby league competition in the world and has inked a three-year deal.
