NORTH Queensland have been suitably impressed by Four Nations representative Michael Morgan’s decision to return to training early.
Morgan played off the bench in Australia’s 34-8 win over New Zealand in the tournament final in the UK as recently as November 20, but he has already been back at training for the past week.
Cowboys assistant coach David Fairleigh says it is an example of good dedication by Morgan that will provide inspiration for young players at the club who will realise how much work it takes to get to the top.
“I actually said to him ‘I thought you might have had a bit more of a break’,” Fairleigh says.
“But I guess that’s a credit to his attitude and the culture here within the Cowboys, the fact he has only been back (in Australia) a couple of weeks and finished a tremendous Four Nations tour and he’s back here training with the team, so well done to him.”
