ROOSTERS recruitment officer Peter O’Sullivan has been officially deregistered by the NRL.

O’Sullivan was stood down by the governing body two months ago after it was discovered that controversial betting figure Eddie Hayson had allegedly deposited $700,000 into the recruitment officer’s TAB account over the course of several years.

O’Sullivan had been given the opportunity to appeal the cancellation of his registration back in August.

“The NRL has considered Mr O’Sullivan’s response and determined that his registration will be cancelled, taking effect immediately,” an NRL spokesman said.

O’Sullivan is one of the game’s best talent scouts and was recently responsible for uncovering gun rookie Latrell Mitchell.
