THE Panthers have announce prop Moses Leota has extended his contract for another two seasons.
The new contract means the 21-year-old will remain with the Panthers until at least the end of the 2019 season.
“I’m really grateful for the chance to stay at the Panthers,” said Leota.
“There’s a special bunch of players here, the club has a great culture and I couldn’t see myself playing anywhere else.
“Now I want to focus on playing consistent footy and strive for my goal of being a regular NRL player.”
Leota made his NYC debut for the Panthers in 2014 and was a member of the premiership-winning Panthers NYC side in 2015 and was named Player of the Year that season.
After spending most of 2016 with the Panthers Intrust Super Premiership NSW side, Leota made his NRL debut against Manly in Round 14.
“Moses is a terrific story,” said Panthers Executive General Manager Phil Gould.
“He is one of the most dedicated and hard-working young men you will ever meet and a pleasure to have around our club.
“I sincerely hope this is the start of a long and successful career with the Panthers.”
Leota has played four games of first grade to date and will have his eyes set on a permanent spot in the Penrith 17 next season.
