THE ROOSTERS have confirmed the signings of former Knight Zane Tetevano and Sea Eagles forward Liam Knight.
As first revealed by the RLW Mole earlier in the month, the Roosters had been impressed by the form and behaviour shown by Tetevano this season, who had signed on to play with feeder club Wyong for the 2016 season.
Tetevano served nine months in prison for assaulting his former girlfriend and looked long odds to return to the NRL. But at 25, Tetevano will now get his chance at the Roosters after agreeing to a one-year deal.
Knight has had his own problems with the law after he was charged with drink driving and clocking 137km/h in a 70km zone earlier this year.
The young forward did go on to play one first grade game for Manly in 2016 and will be hoping for a fresh start with the Roosters after agreeing to a three-year deal.
“Both Zane and Liam will boost the depth of our forwards heading into 2017,” said Roosters CEO John Lee.
“Significantly, they have each displayed a genuine desire to continue to apply themselves and develop within our structures both on and off the field, and we look forward to working them both,” he added.
