SOUTH Sydney colossus Tom Burgess has rubbished reports he is set to join Jarryd Hayne in the NFL.

There was speculation the Rabbitohs giant was considering the move in 2017 after recently signing just a one-year extension with the Bunnies.

But Burgess said NFL was not even on his radar.

“I don’t know where the speculation has come from but there is nothing to it,” Burgess says.

“It’s not correct – I am devoted fully to Souths and have never considered NFL.”

When asked why he only signed for one more year, Burgess said: “I am still young and have never signed long contracts.”

Burgess admitted he was given a handsome offer to join brother Luke at Manly.

“They were in there but at the end of the day I’ve been with Souths since I came to Australia and love it here.”

The big Englishmen said he and his team-mates were gutted at losing 30-12 to the Cowboys last night after leading 12-4.

“It was very disappointing but we will get back into it this week,” he said.
