SOUTH Sydney are set for a massive boost with star centre Dylan Walker looking ready to return to action against Cronulla on Monday night.

Walker hasn’t played since breaking his hand against the Tigers in a brave two-try performance in late March.

With the club missing a host of back line talent including Adam Reynolds, John Sutton and Kirisome Auva’a, the premiers have struggled for strike power out wide.

But Walker has recovered quickly from surgery on the hand and has been running with the team this week.

A final decision on his fitness is expected over the weekend.

Halfback Reynolds is expected to miss the next five to six weeks with a knee injury sustained in the win over the Bulldogs on Good Friday.

The Rabbitohs were comprehensively beaten by the North Queensland Cowboys 30-12 in their first game without Reynolds last Monday night.
